Green Circle Salons is the industry’s first sustainable salon solution dedicated to fighting beauty waste and climate change. That is why we at Baddhare Salon joined the community of over 16,000 Waste Warriors in keeping people and the planet beautiful.
This award-winning program empowers salons to offset their emissions and recover up to 95% of their beauty waste. That includes previously unrecoverable materials and hard-to-recycle items like hair clippings, foils, excess hair color, aerosol cans, and color tubes.
When we fill up our boxes we put the waste in, we pack them up and send it to Green Circle Salons where the recycle, recover and repurpose it- giving beauty waste a new life. At Baddhare, we are recycling up to 95% of our beauty waste by being a certified Green Circle Salon.
At the facility the hair will be either… composted with other organic waste, turned into bio-composite plastic to make new products like recycling bins, used to research and develop new environmental technology like insulation and storm water filtration, and is made into products used for Humanitarian efforts.
At Baddhare, we collect our excess color in our waste bin, when it’s filled up, we then ship it to Green Circle Salons. At their facility, it will be turned into clean energy by being separated into water and oil. The water is then cleaned and returned into the watering system while the oil will be blended into fuel!
Green Circle will sort the metals and depressurize aerosol before sending them off to partnering facilities. At the facility, they will be sorted by grade and type, them melted down into aluminum sheets or bars used to make new products like car parts and bicycles!
At Baddhare we collect waxing strips, waxing sticks, cotton rounds, and sponges to send off to Green Circle! At their partnered facility, it will be used in a waste-to-energy process to create clean renewable energy and the leftover ash will be used as a filler in asphalt!
